Exploring Gull Harbour: Hiking to the Lighthouse, Capturing Wildlife, and Stunning Aerial Views of Lake Winnipeg.

Our day at Gull Harbour was filled with adventure and tranquility, starting with a hike through the beautiful natural landscape toward the iconic **Gull Harbour Lighthouse**. The trail was scenic, winding through lush greenery and offering stunning glimpses of the water as we walked. With every step, we felt the crisp, fresh air of the harbor fill our lungs, the anticipation of reaching the lighthouse driving us forward.

As we arrived at the lighthouse, we were greeted by the peaceful sounds of waves gently lapping at the shoreline and the expansive view of **Lake Winnipeg**. We found a perfect spot on the beach, right near the base of the lighthouse, and took a moment to simply sit and enjoy the serene surroundings. The sun was warm but pleasant, and the clear skies offered a perfect backdrop for some quiet reflection.

Suddenly, our attention shifted to the wildlife around us. We watched in awe as a majestic **white American pelican** soared gracefully overhead. Its wide wingspan cast a shadow over the beach as it glided effortlessly across the sky. We quickly grabbed our cameras, eager to capture this magnificent bird in flight. It circled a few times before heading toward the water, its pristine white feathers contrasting beautifully against the blue of the lake. As the pelican disappeared in the distance, other birds, perhaps **terns** or **cormorants**, began diving into the water with precision, catching fish in a spectacular display of nature’s raw beauty. Watching them in action, we felt like we were witnessing a secret part of their world, each dive creating ripples in the still water.

Later, we launched the **drone** for a bird’s-eye view of the entire area. From above, the landscape opened up before us in breathtaking fashion. The lush greens of the **Gull Harbour golf course** spread out like a well-manicured oasis, bordered by the serene blues of the lake and framed by the dense greenery of the surrounding forest. The lighthouse stood proudly at the edge of the shore, a sentinel overlooking the water. The combination of the vibrant green fairways, the sprawling lake, and the rustic beauty of the lighthouse made for incredible aerial footage.

As we hovered the drone above the lighthouse, the full scope of Gull Harbour’s beauty came into view. The endless expanse of **Lake Winnipeg** stretched out to the horizon, while the rocky shoreline, dotted with beachgoers and fellow nature lovers, added texture to the scene. It was the perfect blend of natural serenity and human exploration, captured from an angle that made everything look even more enchanting.

After our aerial adventure, we spent a little more time on the beach, soaking in the moment and appreciating the beauty of nature all around us. The entire day was a perfect balance of outdoor exploration, wildlife observation, and breathtaking scenery, creating memories that we’ll carry with us for a lifetime. Gull Harbour, with its lighthouse, beaches, wildlife, and scenic golf course, truly offers an experience like no other.
